Built for young children
Pictures plus words
Every choice has a picture, so younger children do not need to read. The words stay on screen to help early readers.
Short and complete
Each game follows the same simple path, from noticing a feeling to celebrating a wise choice.
Never punishing
There are no buzzers and no “wrong” screens. A miss brings a hint and another try.
Representation matters
Children of many races and backgrounds appear throughout the app.
Questions
Who is it for?
Children ages 5 to 10. Children can play on their own, and adults are welcome to join in.
Does my child need to read?
No. Choices are shown as pictures with words, and children tap, drag and choose. They never type.
Is it therapy?
No. The app teaches feelings skills through play. It does not diagnose or treat any condition and does not replace a counselor, doctor or teacher. If you are worried about a child, please talk with a professional. If a child is in crisis, call or text 988 or contact your local emergency services.
When can we get it?
The app is in development and heading into testing. Join the early access list and we will email you when it is ready.
Which devices does it run on?
We are starting with iPhone and iPad.
What will it cost?
We want cost to never be the reason a school says no, so school pilots are low cost or free. Family pricing will be announced before launch.
What about privacy?
Children’s privacy comes first. We will publish our full privacy policy on this site before the app is released. Questions are welcome at hello@creativeenergyapps.com.
